Sunday 29th January – ‘REHAB’ – A first time for us at The Good Intent, sublime female singer fronts this local band playing a fine mixture of classic covers in a smooth and addictive style! Something a little different for you and a chance to catch some amazing musicians!
Sunday 5th February – THE WISHBONES –The boys are back for another visit! Over the past four years the band have sculpted a unique sound, blending Folk and Bluegrass with Pop sensibility song writing and Rock inspired shows. Their sound is unmistakable because of their blend of bluegrass instruments; including Banjo, Upright Bass and Slide Guitar, but infused with more modern styles to create a truly memorable music.
Sunday 12th February – STEVE HAMPTON – Steve’s back for another excellent night’s entertainment! All your favourite songs wonderfully played in Steve’s own impressive style with a bit of fun on the side! Unmissable!!
Thursday 16th February – TREVOR JOHN – A warm welcome back to Trevor and the boys to another year at The Good Intent – tonight’s the three piece band so please come down and enjoy the music – wonderfully played as ever and perfect to put you in a good mood for the weekend!!
Sunday 19th February – WILLE AND THE BANDITS – Back after a hugely successful year touring with Status Quo and all over the place! Wille and the guys have proved massively popular at The Good Intent – incredible guitar playing and an original play list make these guys Unmissable! Prepare to be very impressed!!
Sunday 26th February –KAPSEL -the boys are back by popular demand!
Kapsel could be described as being "post-rock soundtrackers" and a typical gig is a living soundtrack. Like many instrumental bands, Kapsel have employed visual media to front the act, with classic Japanese cinema at the core. The drama that occurs can be quite profound as the audience builds a personal interpretation of the performance. Musically the band glide from percussive work outs, through jazz fusion rotations into the ever present rock blasts that cement their emotive, and sometimes, improvisational sound.
Sunday 4th March – ROLAND CHADWICK – Another amazing night’s music with Roland - a wonderful mix of
excellent guitar playing and banter! Always a very popular evening and great fun - Please don’t miss this one!!
Sunday 11th March – HANNAH McINTYRE – Back to us at The Good Intent - Hannah 22 started playing acoustic music with Lyall 20. Both Hannah and Lyall are now currently writing and recording their own songs (both acoustic and band numbers) at home in the New Forest. Hannah has an amazing voice and we will be in for a fantastic evening!
Every Monday night is The Good Intent Quiz night - all teams are welcome £2 per person including "nibbles" an excellent fun night with a cash prize - starts at 8pm but come down early if you want a seat !!
